German violin bow unstamped
Silver mounted, ebony frog with pearl eye, 3-piece button (frog and button possibly not original to the stick), round stick, unstamped, 57.4 grams.
We have had this bow in our collection for 15 years and its provenance has eluded us, despite extensive ongoing research. It is possible that the button and/or frog are not original, therefore confusing the pattern recognition skills of ours and of knowledgeable others. It is likely the bow was made during the interwar period in Germany. Any trace of a stamp has been long worn off. A good playing bow priced to sell.
