W. E. Hill & Sons violin bow by Yeoman

W. E. Hill & Sons violin bow by Yeoman

Silver mounted tortoiseshell frog with Parisian eye mounted in the Hill tradition without metal liner, original whalebone lapping, octagonal stick, made by Sidney Braithwaite Yeoman (1876 – 1948) in 1926 and stamped W. E. HILL & SONS (covered by protective leather at the handle), 56.9 grams

This bow is in outstanding original condition and has been in our long-term ownership for professional use.  The light weight is useful for certain repertoire, and the bow makes a sweet, clear sound.  Note that the protective leather at the handle is not covering anything sinister, it was just added to minimise wear and tear to the handle.
